Product Description 6-1/2" Two-Way loudspeaker with Plus One® woofer cone and edge driven textile dome tweeter.
Amazon.com Product Description Infinity's 6-1/2-inch 6032cf is a two-way loudspeaker with Plus One woofer cone and edge-driven textile dome tweeter, and offers an ideal--and simple--upgrade to your factory drivers. Infinity's Unipivot tweeter can be pointed toward listeners even when the speaker is mounted off-axis, for a an optimized stereo image. | The Infinity Reference Series Infinity's Reference Series has been engineered to deliver best-in-class performance for those looking to replace or upgrade their factory speakers. Features like Infinity's Plus One (patent pending) woofer cones and edge-driven-dome tweeters have helped position Infinity Reference as the number-one line of automotive loudspeakers for the past six years straight. |
An ideal upgrade to your factory drivers. | Infinity 6032cf Features Plus One woofer cones This patent pending technology deliver a cone with more surface area than competing models of the same size. The result is increased bass output and higher efficiency. True Four Ohms All Reference speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance "seen" by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Reference Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit. Edge-driven textile dome tweeters These are not commonly used w-domes, but fully-edge-driven domes like those found in better home audio speakers. The benefit is increased power handling and reduced distortion at high output levels. This technology also allows for better integration with the mid/woofer. Unipivot Infinity's Unipivot (patent no. 6,002,780) allows the tweeter to be pointed at the listener's location even when the speaker is mounted off axis. This optimizes the stereo image and ensures a more uniform response. Tweeter level adjustment The 6032cf also features a tweeter level adjustment located on the front of the speaker and can be set at the reference level of 0dB. If the speakers are located low in the doors or if you are looking for a brighter sound, set the tweeter at +3dB Rubber surrounds This material provides optimum cone-edge suspension and absorbs distortions that may travel up the cone edge, adding stronger low-end.

clean sound March 21, 2010 Miss D (VA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These speakers have a nice clean sound. I'm still using it w/my factory stereo but it does not distort when I turn it up to 30 or more...I have the base set 1 below my max. It was suggested to me by my installer to set it a notch or two lower, to prevent the tweeters from bursting early, but I like to hear bass. Hopefully the sound quality will not be affected by the installation of my after market pioneer deck soon
Best Speakers in that category June 28, 2010 Alvaro (Bogota, Colombia) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Excellent sound, great looks, worth every penny. Only complain is that no grills are included in the box, they sell them sepparately for $20 more, speakers look great without them but depending on where you install them, grills provide some protection.
WOW, WOW, WOW, That's what I have to say! April 27, 2010 TD (California) These speakers deserve a solid 5 stars. I would give them 6 if I could. I mounted these in the front lower doors of my 94 Toyota Paseo. They are mounted on solid 1" MDF wood spacers. All openings in the door panel were closed up. Then I glued vibration dampening mat to the area around the speakers. I have the 6032cf speakers connected to a Kicker 4 channel amp, 85 watts @ 2 ohms. Right now, I have only installed these two speakers, no rear speakers, and no sub.
With only these two speakers, they are rocking the house! They are producing so much bass that I had to dial back the bass adjustments on the head unit and the amp! If you really like bass, these speakers can produce it. I prefer my music with a bit of bass, mild mids, and a great tweeter that can go really loud without hurting my ears. I have exactly that with these speakers. I am really happy. You can't go wrong with these Infinity Reference 6032cf's.
By the way, if you happen to have a Toyota Paseo and want to install these speakers, you will have to cut the front window support bracket away from the inside door panel and fashion a new one that attaches to the bottom of the door.
Excellent entry level speaker November 24, 2009 W. Heffner (Connecticut) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've used Infinity speakers for years and they never fail to impress me. My vehicle has the Kappa line from a few years ago and I also added the Basslink self-powered subwoofer. I decided it was time to replace my wife's factory speakers and seeing that her vehicle is higher mileage, I decided to try the Reference line to see how the entry level speakers compared. WOW! I purchased this set with the 3032cf for the dash and the 9633cf for the rear deck. Due to the current sale, I was able to get all three sets for $191 delivered - an excellent bargain! I was very impressed with the 6032cf and 9633cf tweeter enhancement switch which adds an extra 3 db if needed (and in her car it did since her stock headunit only has bass, midrange, and treble adjustments.) When we tested out some of our favorite rock tunes (particularly sections with heavy bass,) they performed so impressively that my wife commented that it sounds like my car with the subwoofer ... only she doesn't have one. Highly recommended! Infinity proves once again they are the premiere speaker manufacturer.
Probably not using their full potential September 1, 2010 Bob 2006 Honda Ridgeline rear doors and 2101 Subaru Forester rear doors
Great value, very versatile for different applications, would like better connections
I inherited a set of Infinity Kappa series components from our Forester install after my wife would not allow the necessary hole cutting for the tweeter mounting. They ended up in the front which really exposed the weakness of the stock rear speakers. These were working very well in the Subaru powered by a small Sony amp (45W rms/channel). Her Sony head unit allows the rears to operate in "bass enhanced" mode which is a quasi-subwoofer operation. Very nice in the relatively small car. In the Honda, the wiring I used was all factory since the Ridgeline has plugs on each door rather the a loose bundle of wires running through the rubber boot. The head unit has 22W rms. The 2 Ohm resistance of the speakers helped the low power head unit overcome the small stock wires adding resistance.
Having used them with a separate amp and only using head unit power, they are excellent all-around performers. Great choice for replacing tired old paper cone speakers even if you use stock stereo or the low power of an aftermarket head unit. But they have the power handling to really take advantage of more power, better wiring and sound processing.
Only thing I don't really like and this is common for "lower" level speakers is the wiring connections. The connections are so tiny (1/8" negative and 3/16" positive) that I felt very tentative as I tried to push on the quick connects. I then firmly wrapped the connectors to the body with electrical tape to keep them from vibrating loose from the small (and very close to the metal frame of the speaker) connections. On the higher power Subaru install, I actually soldered the connections which is nerve-wracking working so close to your new speakers with heat and solder. The Kappa component speakers had actual terminal blocks where speaker wire is attached using a setscrew secured with a screwdriver or supplied hex wrench. If these Reference speakers had a setscrew connection or stronger terminals that looked like they would support a hefty quick connect terminal, I would give 5-stars all day long.
